Swimming Pool
1. The pools will normally be open for use during the times listed on pool schedule. No one will be allowed in the pool at other hours with the exception of supervised swim practice, diving practice, or lesson hours. Hours may very due to weather and season, swim meets and maintenance. The Club Manager or head guard is authorized to close the pool, should his or her judgment, circumstances warrant.
2. Member and guests must register at the gate before entering the pool area and should be prepared to present membership cards or guest passes to the guard on duty.
3. Guest passes may be purchased at the desk in the clubhouse for $3.00 on weekdays and $5.00 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Members must accompany their guests and are responsible for their conduct. The same guest, other out-of-town guest, shall not be admitted more than four times in the same month.
4. Upon completion of a 2008 Application Form, members may purchase a weekly out-of-town guest pass for $10.00. There will be no charge for a guest who is an immediate family member of the primary membership holder (parent, grandparent, child, grandchild or sibling). Out-of-town guests, with exception of dependents who do not reside with the family member, must reside at least 25 miles outside of Fayette County.
5. Members may purchase a season pass for $50.00 for a babysitter, unrelated guardian or companion who is employed by the member.
6. Children under the age of 12 shall not be left at the pool unattended. This rule will be rigidly enforced. If any doubts occur as to a young child's ability to swim, the lifeguard may remove the child from the pool and ask they be accompanied by a parent, guardian, babysitter or responsible adult companion on future visits.
7. The wading pool is for the benefit of small children, five years and younger, who must be accompanied by a parent or responsible person that will supervise the child from within the fenced wading pool area.
8. Dunking, wrestling, running or towel flipping are never permitted on the premises and will result in disciplinary action being taken which may range from a verbal warning to a loss of pool privileges. The manager-on-duty will have the authority over such circumstances.
9. Water-soaked balls, water toys, towels, hats, paper cups, Popsicle sticks, plastic straws, etc. are not permitted in the pool as they may endanger other swimmers and possibly cause damage to the filtration equipment. Squirt guns or devices that squirt water will not be permitted. The manager-on-duty will have authority over such circumstances.
10. Plastic, inflatable objects are acceptable as along, in the opinion of the lifeguards on duty, the use of these items is not dangerous and does not infringe upon the rights of others. Inflatables are not permitted in the diving area at any time.
11. Only one person at a time will be allowed on the diving board. The area in front of the diving board is for diving only and there will be no swimming in front of or under the board. Diving or jumping from the side of the diving board will not be permitted.
12. Willful defacing or destruction of property will not be tolerated and will be grounds for immediate suspension of pool privileges. Members will be liable for loss or damages caused by them, their children or their guests.
13. Swimming lessons will be available on a fee for service basis. Arrangements for lessons may be made by contacting the Pool Manager.
14. The Pinnacle Clubhouse and Pool are NON-SMOKING facilities. Representatives of the Fayette County Board of Health, who give a rating for cleanliness and hygienic conditions after each inspection, regularly inspect the pool. Accordingly, members are urged to exercise the utmost care in disposing of their food, drinks, and other trash. Nothing should ever be thrown in the pool. Glass bottles or containers are prohibited within the fenced area.
15. Pool deck furniture is not to be moved outside the fenced area or placed in the pool. Members may not use the pool furniture for building forts, playing games, etc.
16. Pets are prohibited except for Seeing Eye dogs.
17. The Club is not responsible for lost articles, accidents or injury to members or guests using the facilities. All personal possessions are to be removed form the pool and dressing room areas at the end of each day.
18. Members are fully responsible for the conduct of their children and guests while on the premises. Failure to cooperate will result in suspension of the member from use of all club facilities.
19. No towels will be furnished by the club.
20. In furtherance of the safety and welfare of all persons using the pool, guards are authorized to discipline children using the swimming pool when necessary. Disciplinary measures will range from a verbal warning to a loss of pool privileges.
21. Swimming in bermudas, cut-off shorts, blue jeans, or other non-bathing attire will not be permitted.
22. Use of facilities by entering the pool during times other then normal operating hours or special unannounced hours, by any persons not entitled to use the facilities, will be considered trespassing and treated accordingly.
23. Food and beverages are not permitted on the pool deck and are restricted to the fenced deck nearest the clubhouse only. Picnic coolers are allowed on the premises in designated food areas.
24. Use of radios and tape players are restricted to the "walkman" type headphones. Playing of loud music is prohibited.
25. Private parties will only be scheduled before or after regular operating hours.
26. Pool lounge chairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserving chairs for persons that are not on the pool premises is prohibited.
Clubhouse
1. Persons in wet bathing attire are not permitted in the clubhouse.
2. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted in the clubhouse unattended.
3. The clubhouse/pool may be rented for private parties upon issuance of a use permit and payment of a deposit and use fee. Information and use permit forms may be obtained at the clubhouse or by calling 859.263.7208 or by contacting the Pool Manager.
4. When possible, members will be notified in advance when the clubhouse or pool has been reserved for private functions.
5. Use of clubhouse and pool is subject to the conditions stated in the General Policies, Rules and Regulations.
6. All private parties must end by 12:00 PM, midnight at the latest.
7. No live music or D.J.s will be allowed for private parties.
